Ajayi Crowther University Hostel Fee 2026/2027: Regular And Premium Accommodation

If you are planning to study at Ajayi Crowther University but wondering how much the hostel fee, then this guide is for you. Knowing the accommodation fee before resumption can help you plan your budget properly and avoid being surprised by unexpected expenses.

In this article, you will find the latest officially published ACU hostel fees, including important things to know before making your payment.

Ajayi Crowther University Hostel Fee

The official 2025/2026 ACU fee schedule gives the following accommodation charges:

The figures above are taken from Ajayi Crowther University’s approved 2025/2026 schedule of fees. The university stated that the first 50% installment was due when students resumed for the first semester, while the remaining 50% was due when students resumed for the second semester.

Therefore, a student choosing the Regular Hostel would budget ₦250,000 for accommodation for the session, while a student choosing the Premium Hostel would budget ₦300,000 based on the 2025/2026 official schedule.

How Much Is ACU Regular Hostel?

The Regular Hostel fee was ₦250,000 per academic session according to ACU’s 2025/2026 approved fee schedule.

The payment was divided into two equal installments:

• First semester: ₦125,000
• Second semester: ₦125,000
• Total for the session: ₦250,000

This means you did not have to pay the entire ₦250,000 accommodation charge at once under the stated payment arrangement.

Students and parents should still check the university’s current payment instructions before making any payment because fees and payment procedures can be reviewed for a new academic session.

How Much Is ACU Premium Hostel?

The Premium Hostel fee was ₦300,000 per session in the university’s 2025/2026 approved schedule.

The payment arrangement was:

• First semester: ₦150,000
• Second semester: ₦150,000
• Total: ₦300,000

The Premium Hostel therefore cost ₦50,000 more per session than the Regular Hostel under the 2025/2026 fee schedule.

It is worth noting that the university’s fee schedule identifies the accommodation categories and their prices, but prospective students should not assume that every facility or service associated with a hostel is included unless ACU specifically states so.

Is Ajayi Crowther University Hostel Fee Paid Per Semester?

The official schedule presents the accommodation charge per academic session, rather than listing ₦250,000 or ₦300,000 as the price for each semester.

However, ACU allowed students to pay the accommodation fee in two installments.

For the Regular Hostel, the ₦250,000 session fee was split into ₦125,000 for the first semester and ₦125,000 for the second semester.

For the Premium Hostel, the ₦300,000 session fee was split into ₦150,000 for each semester.

So, it is more accurate to describe the amount as a sessional accommodation fee payable in two installments rather than saying that Regular Hostel costs ₦125,000 per semester as its full accommodation price.

Does The Hostel Fee Include School Fees?

No. The hostel or accommodation fee should not be confused with tuition.

Ajayi Crowther University’s approved fee schedule separates tuition fees from accommodation fees. This means a student should consider accommodation as an additional cost when preparing a budget for university.

For example, if your programme has a tuition charge and you also choose university accommodation, you need to budget for both the applicable tuition and the hostel fee, along with other charges that may apply to your programme or student category.

This is particularly important for parents and students planning their finances before resumption.

What Is The Difference Between Regular And Premium Hostel?

The main difference that can be confirmed from the official fee schedule is the price category.

The 2025/2026 schedule lists:

• Regular Hostel — ₦250,000 per session
• Premium Hostel — ₦300,000 per session

The Premium option was therefore ₦50,000 higher for the session.

However, students should avoid relying on assumptions about room size, number of occupants, furniture, bathroom arrangements, electricity, internet access or other facilities when choosing between the two options.

If these details are important to you, confirm the current hostel specifications directly with the university before making payment.

Is Accommodation Compulsory At Ajayi Crowther University?

The fee schedule confirms that ACU has university accommodation and provides charges for the available hostel categories. However, whether accommodation is compulsory for a particular student category, programme or academic level should be confirmed from the university’s current accommodation rules.

Students should therefore not assume that every student must pay a hostel fee simply because accommodation appears on the university’s general schedule of fees.

If you are unsure whether you are required to live in an ACU hostel, contact the university or check the current accommodation information provided through the official university channels.

How Do I Pay Ajayi Crowther University Hostel Fee?

Students should use the university’s official payment process rather than paying an individual who claims to be collecting hostel fees.

In its 2025/2026 fee schedule, ACU instructed students and parents to make fee payments through the university’s approved payment process. The university also warned against paying individuals or unauthorised persons and stated that the institution would not be responsible for payments made to fraudsters.

ACU also has an official accommodation payment page, which indicates that accommodation payments are handled through its online system.

Before making a payment, confirm that you are using the current official payment channel for your academic session.

What Should Students Check Before Paying For A Hostel?

Knowing the price is important, but it is not the only thing you should check.

Before paying for accommodation, confirm the following:

Confirm The Academic Session

Do not rely on an old screenshot or fee figure circulating on social media. Hostel charges can change.

Confirm The Hostel Category

Make sure you know whether the amount relates to Regular or Premium accommodation.

Confirm Availability

A published hostel fee does not necessarily mean that a room is automatically available to every student.

Check The Payment Deadline

Find out when the accommodation payment must be completed before resumption.

Use The Official Payment Channel

Avoid transferring money to personal accounts or paying unofficial agents.

Keep Your Payment Receipt

After a successful payment, retain your receipt or other official evidence of payment in case you need it later.

Is Ajayi Crowther University Hostel Worth The Cost?

Whether the hostel is worth the cost depends on the student’s circumstances.

For some students, living on campus can make university life easier because it may reduce the difficulty of travelling to and from school every day. It can also provide a more convenient location for attending lectures and participating in campus activities.

For other students, the cost may need to be compared with other accommodation arrangements.

Rather than choosing accommodation based only on price, consider factors such as convenience, safety, distance from lectures, available facilities, rules and the overall cost of living for the academic session.

Can I Pay ACU Hostel Fee In Installments?

Yes, the official 2025/2026 accommodation schedule provided for two installments.

For Regular Hostel:

• ₦125,000 + ₦125,000 = ₦250,000

For Premium Hostel:

• ₦150,000 + ₦150,000 = ₦300,000

The first installment was scheduled for resumption of the first semester, while the second installment was scheduled for resumption of the second semester.

Students should confirm whether the same arrangement applies to the academic session they are entering.

Does ACU Hostel Fee Cover Other School Charges?

The accommodation fee should not be treated as a payment covering every university expense.

Students may have tuition and other applicable charges depending on their programme and level. ACU’s published fee schedule separately identifies tuition and other payable fees.

Therefore, when preparing your budget, list accommodation separately from tuition and other school-related costs.

What Is The Current ACU Hostel Fee For 2026/2027?

At the time of writing, the official ACU fee information available confirms 2025/2026 accommodation fees of ₦250,000 for Regular Hostel and ₦300,000 for Premium Hostel.

I would not describe these as confirmed 2026/2027 fees unless the university publishes a 2026/2027 accommodation schedule confirming them.

This distinction matters because students searching for fees are often looking for the amount they actually need to pay now, not an old figure from a previous academic year.

If ACU releases a new 2026/2027 fee schedule, students should use the new official figure instead of relying on the previous session’s amount.
